A couple of days ago, the Toyota GT86 was finally unveiled meaning that avid onlookers waiting in eager anticipation could feast their eyes on Japan's latest offering. I have to say, it's a looker and it's stayed damn close to the concept which is never a bad thing (Assuming of course that the concept was a good looking car, which in this case it was)

So here we are, the first official blog entry from the staff here on Autemo. On the new blog system anyway. As the title of this entry implies, it's been a tough few weeks/months for us. One of the most prevalent occurrences being the untimely passing of one of our respected, extremely talented artists; Łukasz (MiecZ_Design). Staff and members alike are all distraught to hear the news, and send our deepest condolences to his family.

With a lot of suggestions being thrown around about the future of Autemo’s competitions, here’s my proposition.

Adapted from a system in place for the Gran Turismo Photomode Competitions on GTPlanet, I think this could be a feasible way for the competitions to operate.

When it comes to voting, the previous round's winner gets to choose the top 10 entries to make it to the public vote, and the base image for the next comp (meaning they're not allowed to enter). From the top 10 chosen entries, users have to rank them in the correct order (perhaps using the current drag and drop interface). This way I think it would be a lot more accurate and easier. It seems to be a system that works on GTPlanet ;)

The results from the last round were trully breath-taking automotive designs. What the artists did constantly blow me away. This time around in Round 5 we're coming down to the creme de la creme, the top of the heap... Thus it's only suitable that we step it up a bit in class, isn't it? Behold, the base for round 5 in the 2011 World Team Battle - the Bentley Continental GT 2012...
