malorite's skyline brush project

Hello guys!!

Here I'm showing you my last work. It has been hard to do, and I think it's not the best result I could get because of the BG and interior, but my brush abilities have been improved with this chop...:)

Here it is... Let me know your thoughts

Not bad at all buddy! For a new chopper, it's turned out pretty awesome. A few pointers though. When you're using a reference car for reflections, in this case your base, make sure you look real closely and try to copy things just how they are. Secondly, try not to have too many sharp edges, they can really look toony, thirdly; the fron end looks squished in too much near the floor almost like it hit a speed bump in the road at 30mph, and lastly, the wheels are really small :D Bulk them up!

Apart from that, it's a really good attempt. Oh, make the seats smaller too, less wide.
Hello.
1 person liked this.
i think maybe the red area's look a little toony but the outcome overall is cool, loving the new background too the blurred people gives a sence of movement :D
Thank you guys :)

I thought the new BG wasn't that good!

And about the wheels...they are the same size as on the original picture, so...I don't know why they look so small :(
you could have used the original wheels also and re brushed them,i like this idea i havent had a chance to look at jacks tut even though i have it saved :D
I wasn't thinking about rebrushing the wheels...I like this kind of wheels a lot!!! hahahaha

Anyway, I haven't followed Jack's tutorial, I read it once to have a global idea of what should be done, but I've done it only with mouse :-d
i totally understand:) i read what was said about the tablet and when i got one and installed it everything on my laptop messed up.i had to uninstall it.all i use is the pad on a laptop for all my work.i havent used a mouse in years :p
I think it need of bigger rims.
Very nice work ;)

jack summed it up nicely i think :D
But i must say, this is a really good effort

A few other things to watch out for though
-firstly, this sort of metallic glossy paint, ends up with a lot of contrast in these types of lighting conditions, so the darker areas should appear very dark, and the highlights (all those white reflections) very light... so you got the highlights right, just the shadows need a little more work
-rims rims rims rims! XD they really do make or break a chop. So make sure you get them spot on! They do fit - so that's a good thing, but they're a little on the small side
- you need a shadow under that wing mirror! :D

Haha, but awesome work - really well done! You should be proud :)
Keep it up :-d
