Renault Indigo

Another project I did yesterday. Haven't had much time to do anything, been working alot. Happy with this though. More of a sketchy render than a photoshop, but who cares! Comments and criticism welcome.

Dont worry about it not being a correct chop, it looks like it's drivable, which is more than can be said for most of the other chops :p.

I quite like it. The design doesn't "scream" Renault to me (with a different grille it could pass for an Alfa) but nonetheless it looks like something that could slot in to compete with the Elise/MX5, or is it meant to be bigger than that? Definitely refreshing to see on this forum though, keep it up.

Cheers man, yeah I think the forum could do with a HUGE dose of creativity, hence why I don't post too often. Originally it was gonna be my take on the Renault Alpine concept thingy, but when I rendered it I diluted it down to the point where it had the contrasting roof. I agree it looks smaller, maybe more of a Boxster rival. It's way too easy to fall into the Alfa trap, all my supercars look like Alfas :(

Nice sketch, very professional quality. Both perspective and proportions seem to be in order. That's the most important thing in sketching as design, no matter how good it is, falls flat if the proportions are a mess.

I prefer the drawing out of these the most. With the side window shape and the roof edge spoiler on there it looks more like a hatch body while the photoshop renders look like a coupé/cabriolet body. Also, the Alfa grille just suits it a lot better somehow.

This! Boring stock body cars with the crazy lowering is definitely the fad around here presently. :D
I like it alot and also appreciate this kind of projects ...i`d love to see this car finished in all details and i believe that will deserve ...make it count! :-d

Thanks guys. I just think the layout of the website needs thinking about. I'd like to see be able to see images as soon as i come into the forum, instead I've gotta search through levels, and often the most creative work gets missed because people always look at or comment on the 'big names' as it were. Look at the Local Motors Forge websites and Cardesign.ru, see what you think.

Having a chop reel on the front page is a great idea. Have you brought that up to Jack?
No but I'll do that now.
