A pretty decent effort for a first full brush I have to say!

The side vent is the silliest part of this chop in my opinion. Why on earth would a front engined car need a vent that big to ventilate the rear of the car?

Otherwise:
- Rims don't quite match perspective wise. Both wheels look too far "turned in"
- Inner part of the front left vent is silver
- Seats need to be bigger
- Shadow needs work (looks too sharp); try my tutorial
- Car looks unrealistically low... I don't think it would even be able to turn the front wheel straight.
- Background looks very overexposed

Keep at it fellow Aussie... there are far too few of us around here :-d

I really like the nos coming out of the rims
g'day :)
i wanted the vents silver but i did the right a bit to dark
and i am having trouble with finding rim donors . can never get the bloody right perspective do you know of some good sites ?
racing seats sit fairly low in commodores . but they do look fairly small in this
i actually got the idea of the side vent off a r35 skyline i saw . which also has the engine in the front .
the side vent may have something to do with the aerodynamics of the car ?

thanks for the tips anyway

Because racecar :D
XD

Nah, to be perfectly honest, he has a point, but why do car parts always have to serve a function? :P
I agree largely with what Klaus said, but rather than repeat the small errors he pointed out, I thought I'd take this opportunity to praise your efforts!

There's a lot of good work, the general quality is very high, with neat tidy selections and a good variation in light and shade on the paint that means it doesn't look too toony :D My advice really would be to say keep at it and keep practicing, maybe try some simple outdoor reflections next - the simplest ones like on press images are essentially just the same, but with a little more variation in tone and colour over the paint to match its surroundings :D

Keep it up though :-d
