Added rules about chatbox:
Rules wrote:
Chatbox
The Chatbox is to be used as an easy way for the community to interact, as well as a notification system. It is not to be used to self promote or advertise. This includes asking for comments on chop or WIP threads. On the otherhand, if you require some specific help on an issue you're having with your chop, please feel free to ask for it in the chatbox. There are a number of members who would be willing to help. Asking for a promotion in the chatbox is also prohibited. If you think you are deserving of a promotion, please go to this thread. Members who repeatedly break these rules will be warned, and if they continue, banned.

Autemo.com Rules
Posting:
- Chop comments:
We love that you are posting on Autemo.com, we really do. However, try to make your comments longer than just: "+1" or "I like". Posting good and constructive comments are much more helpful, and will help the artist improve. Furthermore, comments that only serve the purpose of getting a donor image will be deleted and the user warned. It is good manners to provide constructive feedback before asking for donors. Members who post short, pointless and hurtful comments will be warned once by PM, and if they continue they may be banned.
The Staff

All well said and done, but there still quite a few people still putting comments like these, and somethings along those lines. It is a bit of an off-put as they have either read the rules and decided not to abide by them, or either just not read them and continued to do what they do. Thought I would say, that there are still- some people out there posting comments like these. Or from what I have seen in the past couple of weeks.

Thanks for the heads up KTB. A few of the guys also brought this to my attention yesterday as well. We're endeavouring to keep an eye out for this. If you see any members in particular who do this alot pm me with the details and we'll respond to it accordingly.

No problem. Thought people deserved to know. Will do in the future, MK.
I know I seem like I am ranting, but I have noticed that some people- not on here but on other sites are quite sexist. Should there be a rule about that, or is there no point? Just thought I would ask..

You're not coming across as ranting at all, never worry about that.

The way I see forum rules is like this - general forum etiquette is the same as how one should act in real life social encounters - i.e. with respect/maturity/courtesy/fairness/helpfulness/don't be rude... basically it's that age old saying of treat others how you'd expect to be treated.

So this goes for everything from sexism, racism etc and you are right these standards should be in the rules. (I have now updated the first section to include it). We value your input and it means a lot to us that you bring these things to attention with us. So thankyou in advance.

In the past I had withheld from putting them in there as I dislike having to enforce basics principals upon the community - as I have respect towards everyone here enough to not want to have to outlay these basics in fineprint.

If people are coming across as sexist, racist, derogatory in any way, it's bottomline uncalled for, it's not cool, and nobody should have to put up with that shit on forums or in real life. I'm sorry to hear that this is not the case in other forums. I can say here on Autemo bring it to a staffs attention and the person in question will be reprimanded (banned) immediately. These people are tools and should be given the boot. So this goes out to all people - let me know if anybody is not adhering to these!
