Ferrari California

BLASPHEMY! Nope just a Ferrari California Rat Rod! I have been wanting to do a rusted out rat rod but was not sure how to go about it. Thanks to some inspiration and a break I have this . Enjoy!!!

Crazy idea and I really like it - well done.

Couple of errors I can see though - Firstly the supercharger / intake is off it needs to be more forward facing. Secondly a small error but stood out to me, the sun in the original is from the right but you have it reflecting in the exhaust.

Blasphemy. lol

The rust is amazing. I could never make a rusty paint like that.
There are some problems with the chop that I'd like to point out. The first is the seat. It's wayyyy too long. It should probably be half the length. The front wheel is too big. I can't imagine it would be possible to turn it and I personally think the rear wheel should be a lot bigger. :D Also when lowering the car I like to include the parts under the car as they would follow the body when it's lowered but that's completely up to you. Last thing I'd like to point out is the castrol sticker which isn't following the body at all.

Keep up the good work. I know I don't comment on all your work but I love watching them as they come out. :D

@ Greboth I had that intake more forward but moved it back. Also i forgot to remove the sun of the pipes. Thanks for your critique.

@ X-RC I new some one would find all the boo boos! Seat well pointed must have got carried away. The wheels I agree looking at things now should have done smaller front and oversized rear. Sticker = nit pick meeehhh. As far as the rust affect it was actually super easy and I think most choppers could pull it of. working of a silver car I used a bunch of different rusted panels and did a C+P overlay and then cloned rust drips. Thanks for the great critique.

Sorry I didn't mean it needed to move forward, I meant the donor you use was too 'side on', you need a more forward facing donor. You used a donor like this one but it is the wrong angle, you needed one more at this angle. It stands out so much because the ellipse of the round headlight is so different to that of the pulley on the supercharger, ellipses can be different sizes but the ellipse degree (how 'squashed' the circle is) should be the same, like this
pulleyelipse.jpg

The red is the ellipse of the headlight, the yellow is the ellipse of the pulley. We know the red is correct for the perspective of the car, therefore shrinking the red down the pulley should be the shape of the green ellipse.

Hopefully you understand what I mean now :)
