Supervan 4

Hi this is my latest chop. Its based on the supervan series of ford transit vans, from which they made 3, so i decided to have a go at making their 4th haha. its a 2009 ford transit and below i have posted the link to my wip thread, including pictures of previous models and a bit about what they were as a car.

Anyway, other than wheels and background i believe all mods were brushed, and i tried to follow the lines of old models, but add a bit of modern day racing to it :)

I hope you like it and let me know if i could make it better or change anything :)

Haha I love the idea Damo! :D

You've certainly done hell of an awesome job improving the styling of the van.

I think the only C&C I have to add to this chop is that:
-The bodykits look too "flat" which means the bottom of the bumper/ lip/ skirt could use a bit of shadows. Hope this gives you an idea what I mean :)
-Also the dirt could use a bit of shadow to give them more depth

Nice work, keep em coming!

Love this! Think it's a really good effort to recreate those silly Ford racing vans. I would've liked it if the lower part of the bumper had a bit more shape to it. A Transit van is not the most aerodynamic shape in the world so you want to direct the air where it needs to go :D.

I think the biggest part I'm struggling with is the side vent. You've got a bit of an Escher drawing thing going on (seriously, look it up) where you see two shapes connecting that wouldnt really work. I'd like to add that to J_HUI's critique, that some shading underneath that vent would give it more visual depth.

The top part of the bumper and arches are really clean work that they almost go unnoticed. I would've maybe liked to see a bit more contrast between the surfaces to really make them "pop".

Would love to see more of this kind of work, keep at it!

Still love the idea of turning a Van into a racecar.

I agree with what has been said by the others, you could use some darker tints on the lower side of the van. Also have to agree with construct on the frontbumper that could use some more vents. It's a bit massive now.

Would love to see an update on this!

Only saw the wips for this for the first time today! :omg:
And I must say it's a simply super idea!

Construct and J_HUI have given you some good advice - may even be worth posting some sort of update :D
But yeh, crazy stuff, and very well executed - dare I hint at a promotion in the near future?

Only other error not mentioned is that it's driving the wrong way around the nurburgring XD haha :')
Keep it up :-d This chop made me smile
