That reply was well deserved because a chop like that is taking the piss. It is impossible to tell how much of it was a design process and how much of it was just a simple "oh this fits, c+p" job. I'm guessing it's 99% the latter.
It seems like a joke because, did he really chop the Mercedes? Or did he chop something else entirely (namely, a porsche) and paste a grille on it just so he can call it a Mercedes?
Who am I going to give constructive criticism here? ddd or the people whose photographs make up 99% of this chop?
It reflects the wrong kind of mentality in the community, because do you honestly expect me to reward this with a good score when there are people in this very section that try very hard to add their own flavor to their bases. Better to try and have failed than to havent tried at all.
It gets 3 points because it fits together and a little appreciation for what work might've gone into it. It gets no credit for design, practicality, functionality, originality, thoughtfulness, difficulty or otherwise, because those elements simply arent present.
