Recently I ordered a new toy from Latvia. A soviet produced lens, the Industar 50-2 from the 70s.
- 50mm prime
- Aperture f/3.5 to f/16
- M42 thread
- Produced by KMZ (Krasnogorskiy Mechanicheskiy Zavod)
With a M42 to Nikon F adapter it fits just perfectly on my D5100.
Main reason for the purchase was simply the cute look of that baby. It is so tiny!
But it's not just for the looks, the pictures get really really nice! Little wonder: It is a
Tessar copy.
Using it is purely manual, of course. No auto-focus, no light metering, nothing. But that's the fun!
