waw..il like it..but i dnt understand : as we receive the prize? nd..I dnt understand where to take the base image..the tshirt & cap <_<
yeah the bases confuse me and are small

Hi guys, as a base for the "mock-up", go to the autemo shop and "customize" a t-shirt and cap. You can click on its image to bring up a reasonably high res version and then do a screenshot of that. That way you can pick what colour the t-shirt is going to be etc...

The images that are in the base section of the comp is just there to show where the design would end up.

The real base images to fill that we need in order to actually create the t-shirts here under the T-shirt guide files heading (use transparent background where there's supposed to be nothing and it should be fine):

Also check the Detailed specifications section for detailed pixel specifications of both the cap and t-shirt...

Remember that you can do both the front and back of a T-shirt :).

Does that help explain?

Hi All

Ok, here's what I would have done if I was entering in the T-shirt and cap competition, which will serve as the sample entry that you can work to from an image size perspective etc... :):
tshirtcomp.jpg

To get the screen shots I simply uploaded the high res images to Zazzle using the "customize function" on one of the existing Autemo store products. I chose a white T-shirt, but you can pick whatever color you think looks best with your design.

Here are the final png images I used for upload (you'll need to email these and/or the .psd to [email protected] so that we can make this an official Autemo product if you are the winner):

http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/8318/shirthorizontalfrontbla.png

Here are the raw guide-files that have the right size spec for the T-shirt:
http://asset.zcache.com/assets/graphics/z2/mk/custom/guideFiles/PSD/shirt_horizontal.psd
http://asset.zcache.com/assets/graphics/z2/mk/custom/guideFiles/PSD/shirt_vertical.psd

For the cap, offcourse as long as you have a higher res image than what the guidelines say, you can use this, but if you are doing an embroidered cap you have to absolutely read the guidlines that are in the Rules section:
http://www.autemo.com/competitions/?id=16&m=rules

Oh, and feel free to use bits of my .png files for your entries.

Cheers

Hello !
I have some questions :
1.Do we have to keep our design clean and simple, without crazy and slim lines or we can go wild on this project(competition) ? I ask that becouse i don't know how hard or easy is to print the images on T-shirts.
2.Do we have to send the images only with the parts that wil be printed (over transparent background) or we can send the whole image with the T-shirt (.psd image) ?
3.With how many different designs can we participate ?

I think that is for now.
Thanks !

1. For the T-shirts you should be able to use quite thin lines, and it should get printed ok, although I'm guessing 1px might be a bit thin :). For the embroidery if you wanna do that instead of a normal T-shirt, there are specific guidelines in the comp guidelines as there are definitely some limitations on that.
2. Transparent background will be required, correct (check out my .png files) - you can choose either a vertical or horizontal layout on the front and back.
3. You can enter one design (i.e. cap and t-shirt combo), but if you have other ideas, feel free to send them across to me in a PM after the comp, and we'll see if we may feature them in the shop separately. Although I can't give out free t-shirts to everyone we can probably do something like "50% of the royalties go to the artist" if we choose to feature designs submitted after the comp. Don't expect to get rich from that though :P.

Cheers

Any guidelines on the font choices? Are we allowed to redesign the logo or does it have to be as it is on the site?

I kinda redesigned it on my design since the current one's style doesn't match. The font on it is still Birdman though. ...I wil play around some more to see how the original would work.
