Jaguar F-Type Rally Special

Here is what we wanted to show for the first round of WTB 2013. But we were not able to organize to decide what to do, and we did not show anything. In the last two weeks I worked a bit on it to finish and get rid of that, since I was not very like to manage the chop.
The sketches I made for the front and the back were way more aggressive, but the time cut every vent or deflector that was not essential. The project was to make a rally car a bit like it has been for the Stratòs.
Wide archs, rear spoiler, some vents and mid engine.
All the mods are brushed, except the wheels and the BG which are just modified

Maybe there are lots of errors, but I do not want to edit this anymore. Thanks!

The color is nice and so is the brushing.
But it lacks details... The reflections are a bit too simple for this BG and there isn't a single shutline on the entire body?

Thanks for the comment, I appreciate them ;)

You're right about the shutlines, but I'm not like to correct those.

For the reflections, I would have been able to know how to do them, but the car on the BG is white, so it don't shows "properly" the reflections... I had to improvise a bit ;)

The car looks too clean.
Inside of arches and the shadow looks too black/without texture.
The way the road is modified it looks like the car is purposely missing the corner :P
Rear wheel looks a little off too.

Car itself looks good though but could've used a studio background better than this one. Looks very out of place now.
#SILVIO.
I'm viewing double :O

For the corner, ask to the driver. It's entirely his fault.
I cannnot understand how the rear wheel is off. Are you saying I have to turn it on?
I choose this one because my original idea was to make a rally car, but I had to shut down some elements.

Now I'll upload the sketch I did for the front and the rear. In the project it was way more aggressive, but the time is a hole of the ass.

The idea actually has some potential, and the design you've gone for actually works really well - it's a shame you couldn't enter, as it's good to see something different.

What isn't quite in keeping with the rally theme, is the paint. It's gorgeous and metallic and glossy.. but it needs stickers and mud and dirt to be a rally car really :(
It's also strange that you didn't add split lines :S All cars have them and need them, and without any on the chop it looks quite strange.
The other issue with the paint is that above the vent on the side, on the area of paint facing the sky.. there are reflections of the ground xD I know you didn't have reference for this bit, but for next time try and think about what each area of the paint is pointing at - if it is pointing upwards, and we are looking at it sideways, it will reflect high objects and the sky :-d

Other than that it's actually a very nice chop :) Keep it up :-d Everything else has been mentioned already I think

P.S. - the rear wheel is off, not because it looks off, but because it's at a different angle to the base - compare the angle and you will see that your rear wheel is much more circular.

Thanks for the comment Andy ;)

I like a lot the idea of making it dirt, but I was just bored with this chop... Maybe a day I will try to improve it.
The same for the stickers (and maybe vinyls). I would like to apply a Rothmans or a Esso or a Marlboro...

For the split lines, yes, I forgot them :mrteeth: but just opening again the PSD costs a lot of time and effort by my PC.

For the paint on the side: Actually that zone is meant to be more | Than __ . It is more like a middle way between | and / . The reflections indeed are made due to its declivity.

And for the rear wheel -- yes I got it.
Thanks for the comments. It's a waste there is just a rate :(
